Fall/Q4 Kickoff Pack: 24 Questions to Energize the Team

The last quarter of the year carries its own particular energy — half planning, half deadline pressure, all mixed in with the actual arrival of autumn. This pack is 24 questions built for exactly that mix: business terms your team already half-knows, holiday-season trivia, and a few genuinely surprising autumn facts, picked to open a Q4 kickoff with momentum instead of another goals deck.

The difficulty is deliberately mixed. A few are gimmes anyone in a fiscal-year company can get; a few are the kind of fact that surprises even finance-savvy players — Singles' Day's scale and the pumpkin-is-a-fruit question both land well. Every answer is on this page if you want to check it before hosting.

It runs as a live team quiz: share one link, everyone answers on their own device, and a live leaderboard updates after every question. No accounts, nothing to install — ready before the Q4 goals deck is even open.

How to run this with your team

  • Run it before you open the quarterly goals doc. Ten minutes of energy first means the goal-setting that follows lands with a team that's already engaged, not one that just logged on.
  • Draw a subset, don't run all 24. The defaults draw a shuffled 12 of the 24 — about ten minutes at 20 seconds a question, with the rest held back for the next kickoff.
  • Use Pause & Discuss on the shopping-holiday questions. Singles' Day's real scale surprises almost every room — pause, let people react, then reveal.
  • Rotate with the sprint kickoff pack if your team runs both cadences. Use this one specifically for the quarterly reset; save sprint kickoff for the shorter cycles in between.
